  1. Never a good thing for a chip to sit at or near max TDP for long periods. But design limitations for cooling especially in laptops seem to require this in order to function. But thermal throttling seems like more and more of an issue. Are you paying for performance you cannot even use because of thermal constraints? I know myself; I won’t buy another gaming laptop ever again. Most models seem incapable with better tier hardware to safely keep them cool.
